A Guide To Buying Water Ionizers.

Posted by: alpha on Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Some tips and a guide when buying water ionizers.

Water ionizers are quickly growing in popularity; more and more people now prefer to get one rather than just a water filtration system. While water filters will help clean and remove impurities from the water, water ionizers which are often equipped with filters as well, will also provide you with ionized or alkaline water.

Alkaline water is simply water that has been ionized so that it has a pH of 7 or higher. Water with a pH lower than 7 is acidic water which is not beneficial for our health. It has been shown that alkaline water provides many benefits to our bodies because it can hydrate better, it has antioxidant properties, it helps balance and cleanse your body, and many more.

Although you may easily buy bottled alkaline water in most stores, it will be less costly and more convenient to just make your own alkaline water with the use of a water ionizer. Below is a guide to help you when buying a water ionizer.

Purpose. The first question you need to ask is your purpose for buying a water ionizer. Do you want to have ionized water just for drinking or do you also plan to use it for cooking? You might also want to use ionized water for your skin such as for bathing. This will be a big determining factor in the kind of water ionizer that you should buy. The suggested pH of your water also depends what you will use it for so if you plan to use it for various purposes, make sure that your water ionizer can produce water with a wide range of pH.

Size. You will be installing your water ionizer somewhere in your kitchen so make sure that you have enough space for it. Before buying one, choose a spot in your kitchen where you plan to install it and take some simple measurements so that you can make sure that the water ionizer you will buy will fit in the space. Some water ionizers can be quite bulky so doing this will help you limit your options to those that can fit the space you have allotted.

Features. Water ionizers come with a variety of features and it will be good to compare specific features in each model you are considering. Some of the features you might want to take note of are automatic cleaning feature, music option, type of filtration, and many more.

Warranty. Water ionizers almost always come with warranty. Make sure to ask how long the warranty is and what to do in case you experience problems with your unit.

Price. Water ionizers can come with a wide range of prices. While some expensive ones can go up to more than five thousand dollars, there are many good ones that sell for only less than a thousand dollars. Based on your needs and preferences, determine your budget and choose from various brands and models of water ionizers that fit into your budget.

Two More Days.

Posted by: alpha on Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Two more days before DS’ birthday and I haven’t accomplished any of my plans for his day. I originally thought of putting on some decors and balloons on the house on his actual birthday. (And buying stuff for baking like sieves, blender, pans, etc so I can make cupcakes.) Unfortunately I haven’t done a single thing. And I don’t think I will be able to do that anymore. But of course, we will still celebrate it. He will also have a really small party in his lola’s house, as always. And this is a little bit fancier than his usual celebrations as I ordered a themed cake and giveaways for it. We also plan to get themed balloons too. His theme? Angry Birds! Nothing close to the parties we have gone to, but yes, this is fancy enough for me! I am just glad that this is more than enough to make DS happy.

For Summer.

Posted by: alpha on Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

How I wish I will unearth some gold bars when I finally organize our closet. But I know all that I will discover are dust and some little items tucked in here and there. I am afraid I will have more chores come summer and so I am slowly planning ahead and making myself ready. I am actually looking forward to it and at the same time feeling overwhelmed. I am used to lazying around (haha!) and I won’t be able to do that soon. On the bright side, I do need the workout. But whatever. I’ll make do.

Read Deal.

I just love sales. I think most girls do. Even if I don’t see an immediate need for it, if the deal is too good to pass, I had to get it. I have been browsing for some jewelry and I came across the deal of the day jewelry from RubyWallet. Truly the deal of the day is very tempting. Imagine a 1/4 carat diamond earrings went down from $430.00 to $79.00! It’s a huge 82% savings! Aside from that, they also have various discounted items like bracelets and pendants.

Summer Is Here.

Posted by: alpha on Monday, February 27th, 2012

Almost. But weather-wise, it is indeed summer! I noticed that it is extremely hot and have been contemplating of having a haircut again. Anyway, I will be enrolling DS to their school’s summer swimming lessons. I hope it will do him good, health-wise and behavior-wise. I would have wanted him to have some music lessons, piano or guitar maybe so we can make use of the piano and the Dunlop guitar stuff we have lying around. But I will take it one at a time. I don’t want to burden him with too much activities. Summer is supposed to be fun for kids.

Field Demo General Rehearsal.

I brought my digicam even if I was not sure if parents would be allowed to watch the rehearsal. Glad I was able to watch and was able to take a few pictures.

Foundation Week.

I was able to watch the general rehearsal of DS’ field demonstration in school yesterday. Though that would take some surprise off their performance come Saturday, I still opted to watch just so I will know what to expect and where to position myself. All these for the purpose of taking better pictures. The parade started with some fireworks, and yes they did have some for the rehearsal alone. I know they will have a band too as I saw some instruments and Behringer dj mixers even {The school has got some great clubs for such performers - dance, music, etc.), but they weren’t there during the rehearsal. At least that’s one thing to look forward to. Anyway, I can’t wait to watch as I know that so much time and effort are spent for this event alone.

Chocolate Cravings.

Posted by: alpha on Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

I am never a chocolate person. Sure I’d like to have one once in a while but I can likewise live without it. I am more into pastries. However, I have been craving for something chocolatey the past days. I always forget to check the brocery though whenever I go to the mall. Then I came across this and now I have been craving for a fondue.

I learned a healthier recipe for a chocolate fondue from a Lifestyle Network and I am now trying my best to recall it so I can make one. Or maybe I could just ask DH to order some of those chocolatey anniversary gift online.

A New Sewing Machine.

Posted by: alpha on Thursday, February 16th, 2012

After giving away my old (and actually never been used) machine, I think I want a new one. Talk about senseless spending again. But really, I want to give sewing a try again. Some of the trendy clothes have simple cuts and I think I can try to make some. I am likewise inspired from all the DIY and craft and sewing ideas I am coming across at pinterest. I even saw some maternity wedding dresses and a wedding dress that has been made into an actual wearable dress. Really really inspiring. I should have asked for a new sewing machine last Valentine’s.
