Gearing Up For Christmas.

Posted by: alpha on Monday, December 2nd, 2013

While friends abroad are busy getting their ski racks ready for winter, we are a bit busy with our very own Christmas preparations, as well. Christmas is simpler this year, decorations-wise, as I decided to put out just a few decors. We will have just one tree this year, the ornaments of which are very minimal. I am afraid I won’t be adding ornaments anymore even if the tree looks “sad” during the day. The tree looks good anyway at night with all the lights. Surely though that we won’t be scrimping on my son’s gifts.

Journals.

Been wanting to have a journal. Doodling/drawing has always been my frustration though.

Christmas Shopping.

Posted by: alpha on Thursday, November 7th, 2013

Christmas is indeed approaching real fast. While I am mostly done shopping for my son’s gifts, I am afraid they won’t arrive in time for Christmas. And so I am planning to get a couple of gifts just so he have some to open come Christmas Eve. Good thing, stores are having their pre-Christmas sale - both online and actual stores. My latest discovery online is this offer that will get you to save on numark dj equipment. If you know someone who might be interested, go and take a look at the various discounted equipments that they have.

Secret Garden.

I have been browsing some great artists and designers over at Instagram when I came across the Secret Garden Coloring Book. (I really should be here for DH’s current project at home, however.) There are just too many inspirations in IG, I can spend all day browsing and hoping to have even just a bit of their talents. Anyway, back to the book. It’s really nice and I think this isn’t your usual kids coloring books. This one is for all ages, adults especially as each page can be quite intricate. I hope our local bookstore carries this one. I am excited to have another colorful activity.

Jewelry.

Posted by: alpha on Tuesday, August 27th, 2013

I am so happy to stumbled upon this site where I can buy cheap jewelry in bulk! These would make great gifts to friends and most especially to myself. Most especially now wherein layering of bracelets, rings and necklaces seem to be the trend. So you really need to get more of those. I’m sure my friends, and nieces and cousins would love to receive them. Now the selection process is another story. I’m sure I’m going to be up all night just browsing and deciding. But it’s all fun, isn’t it?

Musical Gifts.

Posted by: alpha on Tuesday, August 27th, 2013

I think I found the perfect gift for my sil. I just came across shure beta 87a at musician’s friend and I know that she would love it. She loves to sing so much. I think she is even a part of the choir in their church. I remember watching their Christmas concert a few years back. It’s the best time to grab this deal as the store is offering it with a huge discount. And just in time as we are filling up a box to be shipped here in time for Christmas. That’s one thing off my list. Now to shop for a gift for myself. :D

Organizing Mode.

Posted by: alpha on Saturday, August 24th, 2013

Currently taking mental notes of what to dispose and what to get for the house since I am in the mood to do a little organizing. For starters, the pantry badly needs to be cleaned and organized. I think I will need to let go of some of the stuff in there - extra pans, plastic containers, etc. I am likewise reading about foam pads for comfort as I plan to get some pads for the dining room chairs. {But I am really hoping to stumble upon an affordable dining set similar to the one that I saw in one of the restos we frequent.} DS’ things need a little more organizing as well. His area is slowly coming together, but I think I still need some shelves to free up some space.

About Music.

Posted by: alpha on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013

DS now has a Music subject. It goes with Arts and Physical Education. Nevertheless I am excited that he will get to learn about notes and reading music. Once he learns that I know that he can easily learn how to play any musical instrument. And I think he is doing good so far. Of course it is still way too early to tell if we will get him his own musical instrument, a behringer xenyx x1832usb usb audio mixer at guitar center even. Meanwhile we can let him try out the guitar and the piano we have in the house.
