A Big Splash.
We went to Splash Island last Monday. We decided to go there this early to avoid the crowds. I was happily surprised to find out that the rates were lower compared to few years ago. Since it was a weekday, we just paid 750 pesos for the 3 of us (250 for adults, 200 for kids). No foods allowed, even candies. They were searching even the tiniest pockets. But I was able to bring the little boy’s Dutch Mill inside since they allow food for babies. At first, the little boy was not as excited as we expected. He didn’t even want to walk and wanted to be carried all the time. Even walking on the sand needed a little warming up. And then he saw the waves… Oh yes, the waves got him excited. When most kids were running away from the waves, he on the other hand, braved them. He even wanted to go to the middle part and he was shouting and giggling everytime the waves hit him. Water baby talaga. They (the husband and the little boy) were also supposed to get on the big slide, but was informed, when they were already on top, that there should be 3 people in the slide. The lifeguard was supposed to join them in the slide, but then may nangaelam. Hay, nagalit si papa. Ang taas kaya nung inakyat nila. Bitbit nya pa si kulit, e ang bigat kaya. Anyway, the little boy had a blast on the kiddie pool. He didn’t want to get out of it. Nanginginig na sa lamig, since it was drizzling, but still wanted to swim some more. Yup, he was pretending to swim. Since the water was shallow, he would crawl on his hands then he would try to lift and kick his feet on the water.
