How to make a toddler take his medicine
I don’t really know how. In the past, I sat on top of him (Not really sit on him, kawawa naman baka di makahinga ;D), tried to squeeze his arms between my legs, then give him the medicine using a dropper or a syringe (without the needle, of course). It worked before. But now he can find his way out. He can squeeze his arms out, he can close his mouth ever so tightly and if ever I get the chance to insert the syringe into his mouth, his tongue can push it out. Hay, and I still have 5 more days wrestling with my toddler.
Went to his pedia last Saturday. It turned out that he still has asthma. So he had to take an anti-asthma medicine for 7 days. I hope he gets well soon.

After the checkup, we had lunch at Sbarro in Festival Mall. And as usual, Estong was at his neatest. He would really prefer to eat on his own. He snatched the spaghetti from his dad’s plate. Mabilis ang kamay. And he preferred to eat a big piece of garlic bread instead of the smaller pieces that we cut for him.
Then, it’s Estong’s first time on the carousel.
I did a little grocery, then went home afterwards.

hi alpha! I usually mix the medicine with his milk… at mas gusto ni Migs. Before when Migs was about 18mos, medyo may storytelling pa kami bago nya ininom pero from then on wala ng hassle. The last time naman na nagkasakit si Migs, medyo nahirapan kami. So nakahiga si Migs on my husband arms, i’ll press the nose and open wide the mouth tapos si hubby nagpapaninom straight sa lalamunan para di nya na malsahan at di na maluwa… very effective actually medyo kakaawa lang itsura kasi umiiyak… then pinapainom na lang namin ng water afterwards… i tried syringe before kaya lang niluluwa ni Migs kasi nalalasahan nya yun gamot… yay! ang haba na ng comment ko, hehehe… just a little tip..
hi caryl! oo nga kawawa sila pag pinapainom ng gamot. kala mo sinasaktan, talagang todo iyak. minsan todo laban, wag lang mapainom. lumalayo na nga to sa kin pag nakikita nya na hinahanda ko na yung gamot nya e. i inquired with his pedia. i can mix the meds with milk. salamat naman. thanks!

hi alpha. wawa naman your estong. pilitan na lang talaga pag-take meds. pero ang cutie niya coz he wants to eat on his own. big boy ha! feeling independent. hehehe. hope he gets well soon na from that asthma.
oo nga e. i thought wala na syang asthma. kala ko usual cough lang. buti pina-check ko. thanks ha. and yes, feeling independent. mahilig kumain on his own, kaya lang sobrang kalat talaga. ;D
